Hack3D competition

Hack3D is a annual competition organised by NYU, Tandon School of Engineering, New York to test the security limits in additive manufacturing. The competition was divided into 2 rounds- In the qualifying round, a broken CAD file of a bulb was provided. Our task was to reconstruct the model to the highest accuracy possible. For the final round, we had to reconstruct a deformed lego brick on which a static stress study was done. Our job was to reconstruct the brick, apply the static simulation study on it for when an average adult steps on the brick. We secured 2nd position in the competition. An article about the same can be found on Facebook and media-coverage over here. I've also written about my experience at the competition.
