My very first Robotics Competition
This was the beginning of my journey in robotics. After doing a 1-month course on Robotics, I applied for WRO. I gained knowledge about control system design (PID), constraint modeling, gears, and gearing ratio. This also taught me how to approach a problem from a broader perspective. The competition demanded to make a robot that can collect all the red debris that comes in its orbit and send them to the repair factory. Our robot went through a lot of iterations before the final event at Sochi, Russia.
Our team secured 2nd position in the Nationals (IRO), and we are glad to have represented India in Finals. We were able to qualify the first round (surprise round) and land in the Top 16 teams under the Junior High Category.
I also got the opportunity to look at what other teams had done and make new friends.
